QUANTUM AFRICA 1-2-3In 2010 Quantum Africa 1 was held in Durban, and, in 2012, Quantum Africa 2 was held in the Northern Drakensberg.

Quantum Africa is the first in the series to be held outside South Africa, and the choice of Morocco reflects the growing strength of quantum research there.

The proximity of Morocco to Europe is expected to be help attract senior and junior European scientists. Rabat is served by Rabat Salé International Airport.

From Casablanca airport, there is an easy train connection to Rabat with just one change required in Casablanca ; the rail ticket costs approximately 8 EUR.

Conference and Summer School: Quantum Africa 3 will be held in Rabat at the Mohammed-V Agdal University (UMVA) 22-26 September 2014.

The International University of Rabat (IUR) is playing a significant role in the conference as well. The goal is to host 150 participants from Africa and abroad.

The Conference will be preceded by the Summer School Advances in Quantum Information Theory and Applications, also at Mohammed-V Agdal University 15-19 September 2014.
